I just bought the bike. It’s a Raleigh Sojourn 2011 model.
I chose a proper touring bike this time. It may be a lot heavier than my previous one, or any other road bike, but it feels very robust and it will be easier to go on gravel roads. The drop bars will probable be more comfortable as they allow more handling position, which helps with arm fatigue after many hours of cycling. It comes with disk breaks which are pleasure to use and the brooks saddle will ensure my butt will be happy all along the trip.
I still need to buy a bunch of other gear, fit and adjust them all on the bike.
